The programme is offered part-time alongside your day-to-day role and funding will be provided to your department for you to attend the programme every other Thursday. 

The programme includes:

• A programme of research training including how research is supported and funded in the Trust and how this relates to your clinical practice
• Individual mentorship from senior staff with extensive research experience
• Opportunities to shadow a wide range of staff involved in clinical research
• Developing and undertaking a a small-scale audit or service evaluation project to address a clinical issue in your area of practice which you have previously agreed with your line manager is an area of focus for your team/ department.

Within the programme you will be expected to develop a poster, describing your project and outcomes, which you will present on the final day and also submit a 400 word article for submission to the South West Clinical School for publication.

We usually open applications for our next cohort in Spring, with an application deadline of late May/early June.
