Preceptorship

Preceptorship

What is preceptorship?

Preceptorship is a structured programme in your first 12 months as a registered professional, supporting you with your transition from a student to a registered nurse.

As part of your preceptorship, you'll receive protected time to study and be assigned a preceptor to help guide you. Your preceptorship portfolio will also count towards degree or master's credits if you wish to continue your education, and we will provide you with career development support to help you plan for the future.

In addition to your preceptorship programme, you’ll receive a Royal Devon induction and join our Buddy scheme, providing you extra support to navigate the organisation.
