Nursery Careers - Early Years Educators
First Steps NHS Nursery provides childcare provision to colleagues working at the Royal Devon.
It’s set on our Wonford site in a purpose-built, spacious building and generous outdoor spaces – a perfect setting for fun, play, and learning! This is reflected in our Ofsted Outstanding Provider rating and the happy children who attend.
Our mission is to ensure that children’s well-being and development are central to all that we do.
We promote learning in a fun, stimulating, language-rich environment, nurtured through play and meaningful interactions, following children’s interests to motivate and inspire them to become active learners.
Working as an Early Years Educator at the Royal Devon

First Steps NHS Nursery provides an ideal environment for passionate Early Years Educators eager to inspire young minds through play and meaningful experiences.
Caring for children from 3 months to 5 years old, the nursery offers a valuable opportunity to develop your skills and experience within the Foundation Stage of Early Years Education.
Bring your creative flair to life by designing fun and engaging activities, such as storytelling, singing, dressing up, messy play, games, and spontaneous learning experiences, that captivate and educate the children in your care.
Encourage exploration of our fantastic outdoor spaces, allowing children to experience diverse environments and deepen their understanding of the world and themselves.
