Across Devon, around 130,000 people, or one in six residents, provide practical, emotional and often expert support for individuals living with frailty, long-term conditions, rehabilitation needs or acute illness.

We recognise the essential contribution family members, friends and carers make to patients and want to strengthen the support offered to you through a new Family, Friends and Carers Strategy. We want to work in partnership with you to make sure this strategy reflects the things that are important to you from your experience. This new strategy will also be guided by the principles of the Triangle of Care, a national approach that promotes strong partnerships between carers, professionals, and the person receiving care.
