Come and hear how virtual wards bring hospital care closer to home at our Annual Members' Meeting
8 Sept 2026
All are welcome to come along to our Annual Members’ Meeting and hear more about how our Acute Hospital at Home service is delivering more care at home, or a neighbourhood setting, helping patients receive care in the most appropriate environment while ensuring hospital services are available for those who need them most.
The event will be held at the RILD, Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital (Wonford) and online via Microsoft Teams, on Wednesday 30 September 2026, 2.30pm-5.30pm.
Trust clinical experts will be sharing how our Acute Hospital at Home is delivering better outcomes for our patients in their own homes, while providing the same care, monitoring and treatment patients would receive in an acute hospital bed. We know that being treated in your own home can have a hugely positive impact for patients who can continue with their daily routines, with the people they know and love around them.
Our Board of Directors will then talk about the Trust’s performance over the previous financial year, present the Trust’s Annual Report & Accounts 2025/26 and share plans for the year ahead.
Our Annual Members’ Meeting is your opportunity to help shape how health and care services are delivered closer to home and in our neighbourhoods, offering the chance to share feedback, ask questions and learn more about the work of the Royal Devon. You will also hear from our lead governor about the work of the Council of Governors.
Places are limited, so please book in advance.
