Have your say on food and drink at the Royal Devon
4 Jun 2026
We’re developing a new Nutrition and Hydration strategy at the Royal Devon – and we want to hear from our patients and visitors.
Across our hospitals, we’re committed to providing high-quality nutrition and hydration – ensuring patients, visitors and staff have access to nutritious and sustainable food and drink options. The new strategy sets out our ambitions to:
· support access to healthy food with clear nutritional information for staff and visitors
· to ensure our menus meet the needs of all patients, including those requiring specialist diets
· to make our catering services more sustainable and reduce food waste.
This work will align with national nutrition and hydration guidance and also supports the 10 Year Health Plan by shifting the focus from treating illness to preventing it. By prioritising good nutrition and hydration, we will help improve overall health and reduce avoidable illness.
We’re inviting staff, patients and the public to have their say on the new strategy priorities and share what matters most to you as we plan for the future. Please take a few minutes to complete this survey for patients and members of the public.
