Help improve healthcare accessibility in Devon
22 Sept 2026
We are inviting you to take part in an important piece of work to help improve accessibility across healthcare services in Devon. Following recent work with the Deaf community, this engagement builds on a wider programme of accessibility engagement we are undertaking to ensure our services meet the needs of everyone who uses them.
Together with University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust and Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust, we are working to better understand the experiences of people who may face barriers when accessing healthcare.
As part of this project, we have launched two new surveys; a Learning Disability patient experience survey and a Neurodiversity patient experience survey.
If you or someone you know has a learning disability, or is neurodivergent, please share these surveys with them. We want to better understand your experience of using healthcare services, what works well, what challenges you face, and what changes could make services more accessible and inclusive.
The surveys are quick to complete, and every response will help shape future improvements across hospitals and community services. Thank you for supporting us to create healthcare services that are accessible, inclusive and responsive to the needs of our communities.
