Patients at Royal Devon can now book community blood tests online using MY CARE – our online service and app that allow you to securely manage your appointments, view test results and more. 

The online booking system is available for community blood tests that have been requested by a Royal Devon clinician. The new feature is part of the Trust’s ambitious plans to use digital technology to improve patient care and reduce waiting times. 

Since it went live on 17 February, over 100 patients have already used the service, with one patient saying, “It was perfect. I was able to go in and see lots of different appointments for my blood test. There was one available the same day, so I booked the same day. It was very easy to use.”

Patients who already have a MY CARE account are sent a notification to prompt them to book their blood test when they are referred. It is quick and easy to follow the link and log in on their smartphone, tablet or computer and book their preferred time slot and location.
