We will celebrate the achievements of hundreds of our caring staff and volunteers at an awards ceremony later this year, thanks to support from corporate sponsors.

Our Extraordinary People Awards recognise and celebrate the efforts and achievements of Royal Devon staff and volunteers, who deliver extraordinary work day-in, day-out. The awards have eleven different categories, which highlight examples of brilliant ideas, teamwork, leadership, innovation, and sustainability – all things that make the Royal Devon a great place to work and an excellent provider of patient care.

We received nearly 400 nominations from both staff and the public, and for people working in all kinds of roles. Winners will be announced at a special celebration event at Sandy Park, Exeter, on Friday 3 October 2025, made possible by the support of the sponsors we have confirmed so far.

The Staff Lottery is our headline sponsor for this year’s awards. The lottery is open to members of staff at the Royal Devon, with funds split between lottery prizes and projects to improve the working lives of staff.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to Nevada Construction, who are returning for a fourth year as a GOLD sponsor for the event.
