We understand that many of our patients, visitors and staff across the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust will want to pay tribute to Her Majesty the Queen following the very sad news of her death.
The Royal Family have opened an online book of condolence where you can share your thoughts and memories, which you can sign here: The Royal Family. Throughout the mourning period, a book of condolence will also be made available in our Chapels at RD&E Wonford and NDDH, and these will be shared with the Royal Family.
For those who would like to lay flowers in tribute to Her Majesty the Queen, there will be designated spots outside the main entrances of the RD&E Wonford and NDDH. These will be clearly signposted.
Suzanne Tracey, Chief Executive at the Royal Devon, said: “We are saddened to learn about the death of Her Majesty the Queen and we extend our deepest sympathies to the Royal Family at this very difficult time.
“Her Majesty the Queen, our longest reigning British Monarch, has served our country for over 70 years with unwavering and loyal devotion.
“As across the rest of the country and the Commonwealth, this great loss will be felt by many staff across the Royal Devon who admired her commitment and service.”
