In line with the decreasing number of COVID-19 patients across our Trust and COVID cases in the community, universal masking in most clinical areas will be stepped down across the Royal Devon from today.
Facemasks will continue to be provided for those who wish to continue wearing them.
Facemasks will continue to be a requirement when visiting:
Speciality areas that care for immunosuppressed patients (renal, haematology and oncology) to help keep clinically vulnerable patients safe
Patients with confirmed or suspected COVID-19
We also ask that people continue to follow hand hygiene measures when visiting a Royal Devon healthcare setting.
