Sidwell Street Walk-in Centre

Sidwell Street Walk-in Centre

The Walk-In Centre is designed to manage urgent, non-life-threatening medical issues. It serves as an alternative to A&E for conditions requiring prompt attention but not emergency care.

  • Located in the city centre on Sidwell Street

  • Staffed by highly trained Enhanced Clinical Practitioners

  • Open 7 days a week, including bank holidays (except Christmas Day)

  • No X-ray or blood testing (phlebotomy) available

  • Last patient book-in is at 7:30pm, but may close earlier if capacity is reached

  • For patients aged 2 and over

  • Does not manage long-term or chronic conditions (e.g. wound care, high-blood pressure) – please contact your GP

  • Does not offer repeat prescriptions – please contact your GP or NHS 111 for urgent prescription needs

Please call NHS 111 before attending to ensure you are directed to the most appropriate service.

Devon Sexual Health Exeter also has a clinic at Sidwell Street. Please visit the Devon Sexual Health website for more information.
