Ambient Voice Technology

We use Ambient Voice Technology (AVT) to assist clinical staff to take notes and summarise your consultation. 

AVT uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to turn the words spoken by you and your clinician into written words in real time. 

You may have come across this technology if you have used voice commands on your mobile device or in your car or have a home smart device like Alexa.

We use an Ambient Voice tool called TORTUS. It differs from these other smart devices because it is a specialist medical tool. It exceeds industry standards on data protection compliance, privacy and confidentiality. It has been set up with specialist medical information to accurately make medical notes.
