Gynaecological cancer

Gynaecological cancers affect women’s reproductive organs and include ovarian cancer (one of the most common types of cancer in women), cervical cancer, cancer of the womb (endometrial cancer), vaginal cancer and vulva cancer.

We provide surgical and oncological support for women diagnosed with gynaecological cancer. We also refer patients to specialist national centres for advice and treatment planning when necessary.

Surgery for this type of cancer is performed at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital (Wondford).

Treatment options will be discussed with you by one of our team but could include:

  • radiotherapy
  • chemotherapy
  • surgery
