Exeter Oncology Centre
The Exeter Oncology Centre is home to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital (Wonford)'s oncology outpatient clinics and our radiotherapy department.
The centre works closely with the hospital's day case chemotherapy department, haematology services and Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital (Wonford)'s dedicated oncology ward.
Our team of Medical and Clinical Oncologists, responsible for prescribing chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments, are based at the centre.
More about us
Exeter Oncology Centre is home to many high-tech scanning equipment and machines, used to deliver our radiotherapy service.
Radiotherapy is a treatment that uses high energy radiation to treat both cancerous and non-cancerous conditions.
Here at the centre, we have close links to F.O.R.C.E. (Friends of the Oncology and Radiotherapy Centre in Exeter). This is a local charity which provides extensive physical, psychological and practical support services for our patients, as well as supporting innovation in clinical services.

We are well served by local bus routes, from across Devon. A number of services stop at the hospital, whereas others require a connection with a local bus route from Exeter City Centre.

Bikes
Bike paths run throughout Exeter and the hospital site is easily accessible by bike. Bicycle parking is available across the site, particularly outside the main hospital entrance.
Car parking
Car parking on site is limited, with a number of paid car parks, which are highlighted on the map of our car parks. We encourage visitors to use public transport and other sustainable means of travel whenever possible (see the sections above for details).
Under section 7 of the Health and Medicines Act 1988 Hospitals were permitted and encouraged to introduce Income Generation schemes, to fund their services.
Our patient and visitor car parks are now controlled by Automatic Number Plate Recognition cameras (ANPR), which will capture vehicle registrations on entry. Users simply enter their registration at the car park terminal when they return to their cars at the end of their hospital visit, and pay for the time used. Payment can be made with cash, card or contactless, or via mobile phone app. Please note the payment machines do not give change.
