Exeter Genomics Laboratory

The Exeter Genomics Laboratory tests DNA samples from patients throughout the world to diagnose or predict genetic disease and to guide clinical care.

The laboratory works in partnership with the Bristol Genetics Laboratory as the South West Genomic Laboratory Hub, one of 7 hubs set up by NHS England.

We use world-class research, state-of-the-art technology, scientific and clinical expertise to deliver high quality testing for a wide range of inherited and acquired genetic disorders.

We are a UKAS-accredited medical laboratory (ISO15189:2012) and participate in European Molecular Genetics Quality Network (EMQN) and Genomics Quality Assessment (GENQA) Quality Assurance schemes.
