Who we are and where to find us
This is the branch of medicine associated with looking after elderly people. Our department treats the conditions associated with getting older, including stroke, Parkinson's disease, dementia and bone health.
If you need to stay in hospital during your treatment, you'll stay on one of our specialist wards where our friendly staff will provide individualised care for your needs. Fortescue ward is on level 4 at North Devon District Hospital and is a medical ward that specialises in care of the older person and people with dementia. At the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital (Wonford), we have several specialist wards including Ashburn Ward, Bolham Ward, Bovey Ward, Kenn Ward, and Torridge Ward.
