Ophthalmology services in our community hospitals

Alongside our Opthalmology departments at the Royal Devon and Exeter (Wonford) site and North Devon District Hospital, we provide our service at many of our community hospitals including:

• Axminster Hospital
• Tiverton Hospital
• Sidmouth Hospital
• Bideford Community Hospital
• Holsworthy Community Hospital
• Stratton Community Hospital (Bude)
• Torrington Community Hospital

We carry out cataract surgery in our day case department at our acute hospitals, at Axminster Hospital and at the Nightingale Hospital Exeter. 

Some clinics and injections are also provided at a number of community hospitals. If you wish to be seen closer to home, please ask your doctor if this is appropriate, as where you can be seen may depend on the nature of your condition. Some orthoptic and optometry follow-ups may also be available in community settings closer to home.
