Stay well
Quit smoking

Stopping smoking is one of the best things you'll ever do for your health. It will make your life better and protect your loved ones. You'll have more energy, better skin, healthier lungs and a longer lifespan, as well as other benefits.
Here are 10 ways your health will improve when you stop smoking.
Support at the Royal Devon and at home
We can offer you 1:1 support and nicotine replacement therapy in hospital through our specialist stop smoking team. You are four times more likely to quit smoking with this combination of support and treatment, and we can ensure this free service continues in the community post-discharge.
Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital (Wonford)
Our friendly team of Stop Smoking Advisors, Steph Parker and Geoff Williams, can support you at your bedside during your hospital stay and refer you on for additional support to quit smoking beyond hospital. Ask your healthcare professional to refer you today or you can refer yourself by phone on 01392 406133.
North Devon District Hospital
Lucy Boynes is the Stop Smoking Advisor for our Northern sites and can provide support and treatment to help you quit smoking whilst in hospital and beyond. Ask your healthcare professional to be referred to Lucy, or self-refer by phone on 07407829719.
You may spot the team around the hospital wearing their Stop Smoking Service uniform, so please feel free to say hello and ask about the service.
