Our NHS staff and volunteers deliver extraordinary work every day.

Through our Extraordinary People Awards we aim to recognise and celebrate their efforts and achievements.

2024 awards

Nominations for the 2024 Extraordinary People Awards are now open! 

There are 11 award categories which celebrate the excellent care and innovation of our teams and individuals, and recognise their achievements in ensuring the NHS was there for people when they needed us.

Nominations for most of the awards in our scheme come from staff and volunteers, but the Extraordinary Care category is open to patients and carers too.

How to nominate

If you’ve had excellent care from an individual or team and you want to celebrate them, you can nominate them here.

Nomination categories 

	Extraordinary Care: celebrating individuals and teams who have gone over and above to provide excellent care (2 awards) - open to patients and carers
	Extraordinary Endeavour: celebrating colleagues who have made an extraordinary effort or achieved significant success to make a real difference (2 awards)
	Team of the Year: recognising excellent teamwork (2 awards)
	Living our Values: recognising champions of our values – compassion, integrity, inclusion and empowerment
	Exceptional Idea: recognising bright ideas and innovations
	Green Award: celebrating changes or innovations that are helping us to be greener
	Extraordinary Collaboration and Partnership: recognising great partnership and integration work, both inside and outside the Trust
	Extraordinary Colleague Support: recognising those who have shown significant support to colleagues and/or championed health and wellbeing
	Leader of the Year: celebrating inspirational leaders
	Learner of the Year: recognising those who have made big achievements through their learning
	Extraordinary Volunteer: recognising exceptional commitment from volunteers

Our winners will be announced at a special celebration event at Sandy Park, Exeter, on Friday 4 October 2024.
