Breast care

Our breast care team diagnose and treat people with breast cancer and other benign (non-cancerous) breast disorders.

We offer screening services using mammograms, ultrasound and MRI as well as a wide range of breast surgery, including routine breast operations, oncoplastic surgery (cancer surgery using plastic surgery techniques) and breast reconstruction procedures.

Our surgeons and specialist nurses work with health professionals across the hospital, including Cancer Services and the Living With and Beyond Cancer teams, to provide care at every stage of a diagnosis and treatment. We also work very closely with local cancer charities.

Women who are diagnosed with breast cancer through the National Breast Screening Programme (NHSBSP) are also referred to us for treatment and follow up.
