Learn about Pharmacy careers
We have three pharmacy career routes available at the Royal Devon:
Aseptic careers where you’ll work in a sterile environment where we develop and manufacture injectable medications like chemotherapy, immunotherapies, and other specialised medications.
Pharmacy Technicians work alongside Pharmacists to prepare medicines, check prescriptions, and deliver supplies. Pharmacy Technicians play a vital role in making sure patients and carers understand how to take their medication as well as providing advice to colleagues in different teams.
Pharmacists make sure all medication is carefully managed for patients from admission to discharge. The majority of our inpatient wards will be visited daily by a Clinical Pharmacist, who will work alongside Doctors, Nurses, and other healthcare professionals to make sure our patients receive the right medication and dosage for their individual needs.
