Do I need experience working in the community environment?
No, we'll support you with that transition and you will already possess a vast amount of transferable skills essential for this role.
Can I work in the community as a Newly Registered Nurse?
Yes! You’ll receive all the support you’d receive in the acute setting in the community, including our Buddy scheme and Preceptorship programme
Do I have to work unsociable hours?
Maybe, this will depend on the role, we a wide variety of hours and shift patterns to suit you in full or part-time positions.
I’ve taken a career break can I return to practice in the community?
Yes! We have a Return to Practice (RTP) programme and we’ll support you to complete your registration. Take a look a look at our RTP careers page here for the full details.
I already work for the Royal Devon in another service, do I need to apply?
No, as long as you’re a band 5 Registered Nurse and have completed your probationary period you can complete an internal transfer request.
I currently work as a Registered Nurse for another NHS trust and private company, would I be suitable?
