Cardiology (heart)
Cardiology is the branch of medicine that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of heart diseases and defects. Our Cardiology Department provides a comprehensive service for the assessment and treatment of cardiac disease. For Northern services, our department is based at the North Devon District Hospital, and for our Eastern Services, the department is based at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital (Wonford). However, you may also be seen at one of our community hospitals or other settings.
We look after people with a wide variety of problems such as chest pain, breathlessness, palpitations, loss of consciousness or high blood pressure.
