The Exeter dermatology department is based at Heavitree Hospital. We care for patients with a range of different skin conditions, such as eczema, psoriasis, acne and skin cancer. We provide a wide variety of services, including teledermatology (advice and guidance provided remotely to GPs), outpatient clinics, skin surgery and phototherapy.
We run (often in collaboration with colleagues from other specialities) several subspecialist services, including: Mohs surgery, adult and children's allergy, skin lymphoma, joint skin/rheumatology, psychodermatology, vulval dermatology, hair disorders, and lymphoedema.
We have community services based in Tiverton, Axminster and Dawlish hospitals. We are also linked to the North Devon dermatology service. We also have an on-call service for same-day advice and management of urgent problems.
Teaching and research are core to what we do. We have strong links with the University of Exeter Medical School.
We often share campaigns and awareness on our Twitter feed, find us by following @RDEDermatology. Please note that this is for general awareness only, please direct all clinical queries to your healthcare professional.
