Orthopaedics is the speciality which looks after your body's musculoskeletal system, including your bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles and nerves - all the things that help you to move.

The Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Centre (PEOC) was established in 1927. We offer world-class care in orthopaedics and we are a regional referral centre for complex cases. We provide emergency trauma care for people with serious injuries, including the reconstructive and rehabilitation needs these patients require.

We train surgeons and a range of healthcare professionals from the UK and internationally who visit PEOC for periods of research and training.

Our staff pride themselves on being part of this close-knit team and their mission is to provide the best care possible for people with orthopaedic conditions.
