Shoulder and elbow

The shoulders and elbows are perhaps the two most flexible joints in our bodies. Because of their range of movement, they are at risk of pain, strains and inflammation. A shoulder or elbow condition can make even the simplest, everyday activities painful and difficult.

Our surgical team carries out a range of procedures to help treat shoulder and elbow pain, including arthroscopies (a minimally invasive surgical procedure using a camera) and shoulder replacement surgery.

Information and about us

We work closely with musculoskeletal radiologists (medical imaging doctors), as well as a specialist physiotherapist to help our patients with their longer-term recovery.

We are also involved in a number of research projects involving conditions such as frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, shoulder arthritis, elbow replacements and rotator cuff problems (irritation to the group of muscles and tendons which attach to the bones of the shoulder joint).
