Parking charges and exemptions at Royal Devon sites

Car registrations are recorded only for the purposes of car park charging, and are used in compliance with Data Protection laws.

Car parking charges from Tuesday 1 April:

  • Up to 30 minutes: Free
  • Up to 2 hours: £3.20
  • Up to 4 hours: £6.40
  • Up to 6 hours: £9.50
  • Up to 24 hours: £15.90

These charges are in operation 24/7

Under section 7 of the Health and Medicines Act 1988 Hospitals were permitted and encouraged to introduce Income Generation schemes, to fund their services. Did you know – all car parking income is kept by the Trust? Firstly, to cover the cost of providing secure car parking, but mostly to support the care we can give to our patients.

Our car parks are managed by Group Nexus and APCOA (depending on the site) on behalf of the Trust. If you are issued a PCN, they will send you a letter to inform you of the charge and how to appeal it if you believe you have been charged incorrectly. If you appeal the PCN, the appropriate company will work with us to investigate and, if appropriate, arrange for the charge to be dropped.

Are you entitled to free parking?
