Information for people waiting for treatment
Many people are waiting for NHS services and our resources are limited. This means that some of our patients are waiting for a long time.
We understand this can have a big impact on your life. You may feel anxious and in pain whilst waiting. It may affect your loved ones as well as you. We are sorry for the impact on you, your family and/or carers.
We review our waiting lists every week and book patients firstly by clinical urgency and then by waiting time. We will be in touch as soon as possible.
Please know that reducing waiting times is our top priority. Our staff are working hard to see you as quickly as possible. We are:
- expanding our facilities and clinic times
- using the latest equipment and techniques
- finding ways to deliver excellent care more quickly and efficiently
The information on these pages explains what you can do whilst you wait. We hope this helps you arrive for your appointment in the best possible health.
