Board of directors

Our Board of Directors is led by the Chair of the Trust and is made up of Executive and Non-Executive Directors.

Working together, the Board of Directors are collectively responsible for the exercise of the powers and the performance of this NHS Foundation Trust. In so doing, the Board members bear full legal liability for the operational and financial performance of the Trust.

Members of the public are welcome to attend our Board of Directors’ meetings and can view the Board agendas and minutes below.

Our Executive Directors manage the day-to-day operational and financial performance of the Trust, ensuring the delivery of safe and high-quality care.

Our Non-Executive Directors, together with the Chair, form a majority on the Board and share corporate responsibility for ensuring that the Trust is run efficiently, economically and effectively.

There is a clear division of responsibility between the Chair of the Trust and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The Chairperson heads the Board of Directors, providing leadership and ensuring its effectiveness in all aspects of its role; including setting the Board's agenda and ensuring its members receive timely and pertinent information in order to exercise their responsibilities. The CEO is responsible for running all operational aspects of the Trust's business, assisted by the Executive Directors.

The Board’s Register of Interests can be found here.
