Our minor injuries units and walk in centre are available if you have a medical problem that’s not critical or life-threatening, including for blood pressure checks or minor cuts and wounds.
You do not usually need an appointment to attend the minor injuries unit or walk in centre, and there is no need to call us before coming in.
Over the Christmas and New Year our MIUs and WIC are open as follows:
Ilfracombe Tyrrell Hospital – A weekend MIU service (Friday to Monday) is available from 10am to 6pm. This service will be closed Saturday 24, Sunday 25 and Saturday 31 December 2022, and Sunday 1 January 2023.
Lyn Health Medical & Minor Injury Service – Open 8am to 6pm weekdays (closed weekends, Christmas Day and bank holidays) – Please call before attending, walk in service unavailable.
Sidwell Street WIC – The WIC will be closed on the following dates in December and January but open 8am – 8pm every other day:
