Knowledge & Library Services
Just 6 - read, watch, listen.

Just 6 Minutes Daily - setting aside just 6 minutes to read each day can significantly enhance your mental health and overall well-being.
What is Just 6?
Just 6 was developed by the Knowledge and Library Service northern Librarian as an initiative to support colleague mental health and wellbeing.
Reading can significantly reduce stress levels and contribute to personal growth, while also improving sleep quality, fostering emotional growth, and enhancing cognitive functions.
Engaging in reading-related social activities promotes social bonds and support networks, while maintaining work-life balance and preventing burnout.
You can take part by reading physical books, ebooks, listening to audiobooks or podcasts (you are not limited to just these suggestions) - Grab a bookmark from the library or download the booklet today. Enjoy reading 6 well-being books or engaging with 6 well-being digital resources, such as eBooks or audiobooks.
Collect stamps, complete your booklet by sharing your reading or listening experiences, and then select your reward from our range of exceptional well-being titles and resources to keep!
How to Participate:
-
Pick up one of our unique Just 6 bookmarks from the library to collect stamps. Each time you borrow, read, and return a book that supports your well-being, we'll stamp your bookmark. Once you've collected 6 stamps, you can choose one of our free books.
-
Alternatively, engage with digital resources like websites, ebooks, audiobooks, podcasts, or apps that support your well-being by using our Just 6 Digital Well-being Booklet.
If you're unable to print, download the Word version of the booklet and update it as you progress.
To participate, answer 6 questions about six different resources you've used. When you return the completed booklet to us, you can choose a free book.
