Paediatric surgery
We provide a comprehensive range of general paediatric surgery and work in close partnership with Bristol Children’s Hospital. We offer assessment and treatment of undescended testes, inguinal hernia, hydrocele, umbilical hernia, problems of the foreskin, and ingrowing toenails. Your child will be looked after by a dedicated paediatric surgical team both in the clinic and operating theatres.
Our services
We provide a number of services including the assessment and treatment of:
- Phimosis, recurrent balanitis, balanitis xerotica obliterans
- Undescended testes
- Hydroceles
- Inguinal and umbilical hernia
- Ingrowing toenails
- Sebaceous cysts
- Lipomas
We also carry out a number of procedures including:
- Circumcision
- Herniotomy
- Ligation of patent processus vaginalis
- Umbilical hernia repair
- Orchidopexy
- Wedge excision and phenol ablation for ingrowing toenails
