Useful information whilst waiting

We understand that patients on waiting lists want to know how long they can expect to wait for an appointment and/or treatment. This is very complex and can change, as we are continually reviewing and prioritising our patients by clinical urgency. We are sorry that we cannot give you an exact idea of how long you will need to wait.

My Planned Care provides average waiting times for patients across the UK. Click here to view waiting times for specialties in our hospitals.

We might send you a text message

We are using a new text message service to ensure our patient waiting lists are up to date. If you’re on a waiting list for an appointment or hospital procedure, you might receive a text message from us about this. Read more about the text messages we are sending to patients on waiting lists.
