Goodbye Breasts! Exhibition Explores Breast Health and Recovery

“Goodbye Breasts!” is a unique project that combines an art installation, engaging talks, hands-on workshops, and a thought-provoking documentary, immersive experience and broader project designed to create a creative space where stories about breast health can be shared and heard.

Joanna Callaghan, an artist filmmaker and Professor of Filmmaking at the University of Sussex, shares her own journey, saying, "In 2017, I faced breast cancer and discovered I carried a high-risk breast cancer gene, PALB2. Just as I was considering a preventative mastectomy, a second breast cancer diagnosis came in 2020. I'm committed to creating space for dialogue about challenging topics—where we can listen, understand, and empathise."
