Medical Photography

We provide photography and video recordings to use in the treatment of patients or for teaching and publication in medical books or journals.

Our full-time photographer is professionally qualified and has undertaken nationally-recognised training in clinical photography.

The department also provides (for payment): Medical-legal service for solicitors, staff portraits, public relations photography and passports/visas.

More about us

Medical photographers provide a service for doctors and other healthcare professionals who need photographs for use in patient care, teaching multi-disciplinary treatment meetings and occasionally publication in medical books or journals.

Patients are photographed for a number of reasons. The most common is that your photographs will be used to provide an important record for your medical notes so that doctors can monitor your treatment. With your written consent, they might also be used for teaching other medical staff.

Medical photography usually takes place in the privacy of the department’s purpose-built studio or else in a treatment room, ward or theatre.
