Bowel and bladder care

We are a team of specialist nurses, physiotherapists, health care assistants and specialist nursery nurses. Together, we help people manage bladder and bowel problems. We help adults and children with a variety of bladder and bowel issues.
This includes:

 

For adults 
  • Stress incontinence: leaking urine when you cough, sneeze, run, or exert yourself
  • Urge incontinence: leaking urine after a strong and sudden urge to pass urine
  • Overactive bladder: needing to pass urine more than eight times a day
  • Nocturia: - waking to relieve yourself frequently in the night 
  • Mixed urinary incontinence: a mix of difficulties
  • Bowel incontinence: inability to hold wind or stools
  • Constipation: difficulty passing stools
  • Mild and moderate pelvic organ prolapse
  • Bedwetting – passing urine whilst sleeping

For children

  • Day and night time wetting
  • Constipation and soiling
  • Delayed toilet training for children with additional needs
