NHS 111

NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

It is a fast and easy way to access medical help and advice, when it is not a life threatening emergency.

The service is supported by experienced nurses and paramedics. Fully trained advisers will assess your symptoms and give advice. They can direct you to a local service, including an out-of-hours doctor or dentist, walk-in centre, district nurse or 24-hour chemist.

You can access NHS 111 by:

- calling 111 on your telephone

- visiting NHS 111 online (click here)

If you’re Deaf and want to use the phone service, you can:

- use the NHS 111 British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter service

- or call 18001 111 on a textphone
