The Acute Oncology team in Northern services (pictured below) has been shortlisted for the Nursing Times Awards for the category of Team of the Year. The winner will be revealed at an event in London on October the 25.

The team consists of an advanced clinical practitioner, clinical nurse specialists, assistant practitioners, clinical navigator, administrator and nurse consultant.

The team works over seven days providing support for cancer patients that present acutely unwell, as a consequence of their anti-cancer treatment, disease process or as a new cancer presentation. The team are very excited to be shortlisted for this prestigious award and are looking forward to the event in October.
