The Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is hosting a careers event to showcase community nursing careers, encouraging passionate individuals to join the team and make a difference in patients' lives.
The event will take place at Ilfracombe & District Tyrrell Hospital on Tuesday 13 August, where attendees can discover more about the role, meet the team, and explore the training and development opportunities on offer.
Community Nurses work in a variety of settings including clinics, health centres, care homes and patients’ homes. They support the delivery of a wide range of clinical interventions including end of life care, wound care management and long-term condition management as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team.
Jane Cawthorn-Weaver, a Clinical Matron in the community team at the Royal Devon said:“It’s a real privilege to care for patients in their homes and help them stay fit and healthy. There are lots of development opportunities for both clinical and management skills, including the specialist practice qualification.
Whether you are a student nurse, a registered nurse, or a nurse who is considering returning to practice, community nursing could be the perfect next step for your career. It is a varied role where no two days are the same!”
Nurses seeking flexible hours and an excellent work-life balance are encouraged to apply, with both full and part-time roles available.
