Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is opening its doors at Tiverton & District Hospital on Saturday 13 May to showcase the wide range of registered nursing roles available in its community team.
There will be a chance to take a tour of the hospital, meet the team, understand the support and training available, as well as have an interview on the day.
Particularly welcome are registered nurses, final year nursing students and nurses who are considering returning to practice after time away from their career.
Emma Bagwell, Associate Director of Nursing in the Community, said: “As a community nurse, we will make sure that you are equipped with the breadth of skills and support needed to respond compassionately and effectively to the patients in your care. Our training and development programmes are second to none and the Royal Devon has a growing reputation as an outstanding employer”
As well as training and development, community nursing offers the opportunity to spend more time with patients in their own homes which brings huge variety to the role, Karen Jones, a registered nurse on the community team, added: “There’s always something new to learn, and the experiences you get are so varied. The time I spend getting to know my patients means I can care for them in a more holistic and personal way. It’s a privilege to have time to listen and they are always so grateful of that.”
The recruitment event will be held on:
Saturday 13 May, 9.00 am – 12.30 pm at Tiverton & District Hospital, Kennedy Way, Tiverton, EX16 6NT
