A new support group is being launched in North Devon for head and neck cancer patients, and the people who care for them.
The group has been formed by the Swallows Head and Neck Support Charity, in collaboration with the Royal Devon University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and patient volunteers.
The first meeting will take place on Thursday 27 June at 6.30pm at Grosvenor Community Church, Old Station Road, Barnstaple, EX32 8PB, and is open to anyone affected by head and neck cancer, patients, caregivers, friends and family.
The Swallows Head and Neck Cancer Support Charity is an internationally- renowned charity whose aim is to give all those affected with head and neck cancer the chance to meet like-minded people, and chat about concerns in dealing with their cancer and beyond.
There will be various company stands showcasing products for the management of cancer treatment related side effects such as dry mouth, laryngectomy care products, nutrition etc. There will also be the opportunity to meet the team from The Swallows Head and Neck Cancer Charity.
