From Monday 18 March, work to deliver a two-way cycle route along Rifford Road, Exeter, near the RD&E (Wonford) hospital is to begin for 52 weeks and will be completed by March 2025. 

The work will be carried out in approximately eight phases, each of 100 metre sections along the eastern side of Rifford Road between Honiton Road and Ludwell Lane. 

During the work there will be two-way temporary traffic lights to manage traffic which will be manned manually during peak travel times, Monday  - Friday 7am-9am and 3pm-6pm.

During this period of work there will inevitably be delays. Therefore patients and visitors should allow extra travel time to ensure they arrive in time for planned appointments. 

During this period of roadworks Stagecoach and the Sowton Park & Ride buses will be given priority during peak travel times. To minimise the potential for delay where possible patients and visitors are advised to use the Park & Ride service or Stagecoach bus services.
