To mark Cervical Screening Awareness Week (20-26 June), Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is joining Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust to raise awareness of the test and encourage sharing of tips and experiences to help more women to attend.
Worryingly almost one in three across the UK don’t take up their cervical screening invitation.
Cervical screening isn’t always easy. Royal Devon is encouraging sharing of tips and experiences to help others feel more able to book a test.
Samantha Dixon, Chief Executive, Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust: “We want everyone to have the support and facts they need to access cervical screening and deal with an unexpected result. Cervical screening can help stop cervical cancer before it starts so it’s an incredibly important test.”
Join the campaign by sharing your tips, stories and experiences by using #CervicalScreeningAwarenessWeek or #CervicalScreeningTips and tag on Instagram @joscervicalcancertrust and Twitter @JoTrust
