Viewing appointments marks first step towards linking the NHS App and MY CARE
5 Mar 2026
It is now possible to view elements of your Royal Devon medical information using the NHS App.
From Wednesday 4 March patients logged into the NHS App will start to see some of their Royal Devon appointments alongside their GP appointments. This is the first step towards linking the NHS App and MY CARE.
MY CARE is the Trust’s online service that allows patients to see their Royal Devon information using a mobile device or computer. For many, it is replacing the need for paper communication. Convenient and quick, 95% of surveyed patients have reported being satisfied or very satisfied with MY CARE.
A common request from patients has been to make it work with the NHS App. The MY CARE team at Royal Devon have been working with software provider Epic and NHS England to find a secure way of doing this.
Work will continue over the coming months to increase the number of services sharing appointments to the NHS App and to enable patients to easily click through to MY CARE from the NHS App to view more detailed appointment information without needing to sign in separately.
Dr Chris Mulgrew, Chief Clinical Information Officer said, “This is the first step in integrating MY CARE with the NHS app. We’re very pleased to be able to make appointment information simpler to access and give patients something they’ve been asking for.”
