Working towards a single joint Electronic Patient Record across Devon
20 Jan 2026
By the end of 2026 MY CARE will be available to everyone across Devon.
We are working in partnership with Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust and University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust to introduce a single Devon-wide electronic patient record (EPR). This uses the Epic system that is already in use across the Royal Devon.
The new shared EPR will mean your clinician can see your important medical information no matter which acute or community hospital you attend in Devon.
You will also be able to view your appointments, test results and more through MY CARE for care you receive at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust (UHP) and Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust (TSDFT), as well as Royal Devon.
The EPR will go live in Torbay and South Devon in April and will go live in University Hospitals Plymouth in July 2026.
From January 2026 we will be starting to bring patient records together in the EPR system. This is to make sure your records are accurate and ready for the system to go live.
You might see updates to your personal details (for example, your address) in MY CARE. This is because some Trusts may hold more up to date information than others. We check information carefully between Trusts. If something doesn’t look right, please contact the MY CARE Helpdesk:
