Bideford Community Hospital was built in 1924 and extended several times, with the latest extension opened in 1994.

Many different consultant out-patient clinics are held here, including general surgery, urology, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, gastroenterology, respiratory medicine, neurology, rheumatology, geriatric medicine and gynaecology. Many nurse-led specialist clinics are also held here.

Parking

In the patient parking areas, there is a pay and display system which is clearly signposted. Spaces are limited so please allow plenty of time to park.

Drivers displaying a valid blue disability badge can park in designated spaces at no charge.

The pay and display charges are:

  • Up to 2 hours – £1.80
  • Up to 4 hours – £2.10
  • Up to 24 hours – £4.10

Parking charges apply at all times. These can be paid by cash, phone or online (RingGo). Details are clearly displayed on the tariff signs.

Free parking for registered carers

Carers accompanying the cared for person to clinics or appointments at Bideford Hospital and Barnstaple Health Centre can have free parking when they display their Devon Carers Alert Card on the dashboard so the parking attendant can see it.
