Tiverton and District Hospital is one of the Royal Devon's largest community hospitals. It offers a range of services, including in-patient and out-patient care, a Maternity Unit and an Urgent Treatment Centre, to provide care locally.

Tiverton Hospital delivers a full range of services, including two in-patient wards and out-patient clinics. It specialises in maternity services.

Urgent Treatment Centre

There is an Urgent Treatment Centre, operated by the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT).

The centre treats minor illnesses and injuries which do not require an ambulance or a visit to the Emergency Department. Examples include sprains, fractures, cuts, grazes, minor infections.

You do not need an appointment to attend and there is no need to ring before coming.

Day Case Unit

Our surgical day case unit has an operating theatre and endoscopy suite.

Maternity services

We have a midwife-led maternity ward.

Other services 

These include an X-ray department and two mental health units.

Senior doctors and other clinical staff from the acute-run clinics and sessions in our Outpatient Department.

Other healthcare providers also run clinics here.

There is a pharmacy and a League of Friends shop in the hospital.

The hospital is fully wheelchair accessible.
