Welcome to the rheumatology department. We provide high-quality care to patients with connective tissue diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis and many more.

We are a multidisciplinary team comprising of two rheumatology consultants and four clinical nurse specialists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and podiatry.
We treat over 3000 patients across the North Devon area with connective tissue diseases. We run clinics in North Devon District Hospital as well as satellite community clinics in Bideford and South Molton and Holsworthy.

Your healthcare professional will advise where your appointment will take place. Your appointment may take place at one of our outpatient clinics situated within our main hospital sites or within the community.

The main Rheumatology department is based in the Ladywell Unit, North Devon District Hospital.
The rheumatology physiotherapy service is based at NDDH in Barnstaple, but clinics are also available at Bideford, Torrington Cottage hospital and South Molton Cottage hospital.
