No Mow May – a great reason to not mow the garden!

People across the world are encouraged not to mow their gardens for a month. Allowing grass and plants to grow freely offers a lifeline by providing food sources and vital habitats to pollinators, and also creatures coming out of hibernation throughout May.

We asked you to send in photos of your gardens and local green spaces that are participating in No Mow May. We were so pleased with the response - thank you to everyone who sent in photos!

Various sites across the Royal Devon also participated in No Mow May this year. Although some green areas did have to be mown during this time, we aim to increase the number of no mow zones across the Trust next year.

Please continue to send in photos of green spaces and wildlife - email: rduh.sustainability@nhs.net
